  • Salicylic acid – to reduce swelling and redness, clear pores and soften dry skin
  • Koji acid – to brighten pigmentation while offering antibacterial properties

Your questions answered

About The Perfect Peel

  • Does The Perfect Peel hurt?

Some patients experience stinging or tingling at the time of treatment, but the solution also contains a numbing agent to make the experience more comfortable.

  • What can I expect from my results?

Results can be seen from just one treatment, with skin appearing refreshed, radiant and smooth. However, 2-3 treatments every 4 weeks is typically recommended for best results.

  • Are there any risks?

Chemical peels carry a small risk of redness and swelling. In very rare cases, infection, scarring and pigmentation changes have been reported.

  • Is there anything I should avoid?

Your skin may be more sensitive after treatment, and Jackie also recommends using daily sun protection to care for skin. She can talk through appropriate skincare products to use post-treatment.

  • What other treatments could I try?

Jackie will talk through appropriate treatments during your consultation at our skin clinic, as it varies between patients. For instance, if you’re looking to target lines and wrinkles, anti-wrinkle injections may be recommended. For scarring, PRP treatment could be offered.
