Stretch marks before and after Dermaroller treatment

Stretch marks are a common problem experienced by both men and women, often appearing after rapid weight loss or gain, particularly post-pregnancy or during puberty. They can occur anywhere on the body and although they pose no health risk, they can often cause embarrassment, a loss of confidence and occasionally, anxiety.

Some people have weaker collagen reserves in their skin than others, so are more likely to get stretch marks.  When the lower layers of collagen and elastin within their skin become thin or broken, red or white raised lines – the ‘stretchmarks’ – appear.

Dermapen® Micro Skin Needling is one effective treatment that can be used to reduce the appearance of Stretch Marks and scarring, as it helps to restore the healthy and youthful appearance of the skin with minimal downtime.  Dermapen® Micro Skin Needling works by introducing a number of sterile micro-needles into the surface of the skin in order to stimulate the body’s production of collagen and encouraging the skin to regenerate and repair itself.  A course of approximately 3 treatments is recommended to effectively reduce the appearance of Stretch Marks though Jackie Holden RGN INP will be able to provide more information based on your unique skincare requirements.

INTRAcel® is another treatment that can be used to tackle the appearance of Stretch Marks.  INTRAcel® works by using Fractional Radio Frequency and Dermal Needling to heat the deep dermis, stimulating the tissue to produce new collagen and elastin, and helping to reduce the appearance of Stretch Marks, as well as scarring and other irregularities in the appearance of the skin.  As with Dermapen®, a number of treatments may be required in order to see the best possible results.

Dermapen® Price – £250 per treatment. A course of 3 treatments is only £700.
